Two Tiers, Because Precision Costs Money You May Not Need To Spend
Most orders do not need certified documentation or the tightest tolerance a process can hold. Both add real cost. We price them separately instead of building them into everything.
Standard
- General tolerance, typically ±0.05mm (±0.002in) and process-dependent
- No certification package
- Faster and less expensive
- Where most prototype and scale-up work belongs
Precision and Certified
- Tightest tolerance the process holds, down to ±0.005mm (±0.0002in) on Swiss-turned components
- AS9102 FAIR reports and Material Test Certificates, available on request for qualifying jobs
- Routed to partner facilities with proven history on that material, process, and machine combination
- Where regulated and enterprise work belongs
Tolerance is not uniform across processes. Full tolerance data sits on each service page.
Why a Mechanical Engineer Prices Your Part Instead of an Algorithm
Automated pricing is accurate on average and wrong on individual parts. It underprices some geometry, which the platform absorbs or claws back later, and overprices other geometry, which you pay. Averages work for the platform running thousands of quotes. They do not work for the specific part in front of you.
A mechanical engineer opens your file, looks at the actual geometry, and prices it. That takes 12 hours in the median case and 24 hours in the worst case, and it means the number you get is the number your part costs. You get manufacturability feedback in the same reply, before you have committed to anything.
The Centralized Quality Gate
Most platforms route your file to a partner facility and have that facility ship straight to you. Nobody independent of the maker ever measures the part. If it is wrong, you find out on your receiving dock.
Every Clarwe part comes back to our own metrology facility in Hyderabad first. Our quality engineers, who did not make the part and have no reason to pass it, run the inspection: dimensional verification against your CAD and drawing on CMMs and optical comparators, surface finish measurement on roughness testers, Material Test Certificate review, and AS9102 First Article Inspection reports compiled where the job calls for them. Parts that do not meet the print do not ship.
Supporting facts
- Partner facilities are audited before onboarding on equipment, held certifications, historical tolerance capability, and material handling
- Partners are graded continuously on dimensional accuracy, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and packaging
- Higher-graded partners receive priority routing on tight-tolerance and high-complexity work
- Every partner is under NDA to Clarwe before receiving any geometry
| How We Inspect Every Part |
From CAD to Your Dock
- Upload: 3D CAD or 2D drawings with tolerances, materials, and finish callouts. NDA applies automatically on upload.
- Engineering review: A mechanical engineer prices the job and returns DFM feedback in 12 to 24 hours.
- Capability-matched routing: Your job goes to a partner facility with proven history on that material, process, and machine combination.
- Inspection at our facility: Every part is measured against your print in our metrology lab before it is packed.
- Delivery: Air freight to your dock, roughly 2 days to US and UK addresses. We ship worldwide.
Lead-time benchmark
6 days, CAD receipt to dock. Benchmark job: bead-blasted 6061 aluminum CNC bracket, quantity 10, to a US or UK address, including in-house inspection and 2-day air freight.
That is a prototype-complexity benchmark. Tight-tolerance work, multi-finish work, and complex geometry take longer, and your quote will state the actual date. Transit outside the US and UK is confirmed per quote.
What the Quoted Price Includes
- Shipping is included in the quoted price. There is no freight charge added after you order.
- Where import duties apply, they are shown in the quote before you order. Quotes are DAP, so duties are the recipient's, which is standard for any platform manufacturing outside the destination country. You see the number first.
- No hidden charges. The quote is the number.
- Priced competitively against US and EU platforms. If you have a comparable quote that beats ours, we will match it.
- If parts do not meet the print, we remake them at our cost within 15 days and pay return freight.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fast will I get a quote?
12 hours in the median case, 24 hours in the worst case. A mechanical engineer reviews the geometry and prices it, which is why it is not instant. The quote reflects your actual part rather than an average.
How long until parts reach my dock?
6 days CAD-to-dock is our benchmark for a bead-blasted 6061 aluminum CNC
bracket at quantity 10, shipped to a US or UK address, including in-house
inspection and 2-day air freight. Complex, tight-tolerance, or multi-finish
work takes longer, and the quote states your date. We ship worldwide; transit
outside the US and UK is confirmed per quote.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum on CNC machining and urethane casting. One part is a valid order. Sheet metal and tube bending carry process minimums that are handled at quote stage. Injection molding is tooling-based, so quantity is set by the tool.
Which certifications does Clarwe hold?
Clarwe holds ISO 9001:2015. AS9100D and ISO 13485:2016 are held by specific
facilities in our partner network, not by Clarwe as a company. When your job
requires one, we route it to a partner holding that certification and map it
to your order. We state this precisely because it is the kind of thing worth
verifying.
Do you provide AS9102 FAIR reports and material test certificates?
Yes, on request for qualifying jobs. They are not applied automatically to
every order, because most orders do not need them and both add cost. Ask at
quote stage and we will scope them into the price.
Is my CAD file confidential?
Yes. An NDA applies automatically the moment you upload. You do not need to
request one. Every partner facility is under NDA to Clarwe before it receives
any geometry.
Do you handle ITAR or defense work?
No. Clarwe does not handle ITAR-controlled or defense-classified work, which
is normal for any platform sourcing manufacturing outside the United States.
Commercial aerospace work is within scope.
What happens if the parts are wrong?
We remake them at our cost within 15 days and pay the return freight. Parts
are measured against your print in our own facility before shipping, so this
should be caught before it reaches you, but the policy stands either way.
